Unique Sliding Windows For Your Home
Sliding windows, also called “glider” or “gliding” windows, are windows that move from side to side. Instead of the normal crank or push mechanism like other windows, they slide sideways. However, not all sliding windows move in both directions. Just like single-hung and double-hung windows, there are single-moving panes and double slider windows. Slider windows that have only one pane move in a certain direction are normal single slider windows. Those that move in both direction are called double slider windows.
Where To Put Sliding Windows
Since sliding windows are typically smaller, and easier to clean, there’s a few places to put them. The most frequent place we see them put are high up on the wall in showers. After that, we see sliding windows used in kitchens and sometimes in bedrooms. For the most part, they’re placed higher up on the wall. They allow for great ventilation and natural lighting in your home.
